Context
WagerWave users face challenges in tracking personal bets, accessing win/loss histories, seeing friends' picks, and relying on disjointed communication methods. The lack of a dedicated platform for paid or premium betting groups further complicates access to specialized insights and efficient collaboration.
Our objective was to create a dynamic platform for interacting with betting picks, experts, and friends, thereby increasing user engagement and satisfaction while providing administrators with an intuitive interface to streamline operations. We focused on developing a user-friendly mobile app with features like a dynamic feed of picks, social interaction tools, a seamless betting interface, group engagement, performance tracking, and access to sports content.
User Research
With out target audience of sports fans, betting experts and novices, I posed this question: How do I create one platform where someone with no knowledge on sports betting can have the same experience as someone with a professional background in sports betting? Streamlining one platform to have different levels of accommodations was a crucial part of this project.
For this project, I created user stories of what I thought would be useful for WagerWave after analyzing existing sports betting Applications.

After the initial discovery meeting with the client, I began to work on Data Flow Diagrams for the User.

Wireframes
Once we have finalized the User Flow Diagrams, we move into the wireframe process. These low-fidelity wireframes are reviewed with the client and we take notes together on what we like versus what we can improve.

Solution
Once the client approved the wireframes, I worked alongside the design team to complete the UI for WagerWave. We were able to make sports betting accessible for all types of users. Professional sports betters could utilize WagerWave to build a community and monetize their knowledge, while novice betters would have a platform to share bets without needing to place actual money on the bet.

Project Outcome
Our team successfully delivered the client's completed design, data flow diagrams, and mobile application mockup. We managed to create a platform that could be tailored to suit anyone’s experience in sports betting with the option of opting out of wagering actual money.
